The latest addition to the Capo line, the Fondo Bib Shorts, feature compressive paneling, wicking fabrics and a supportive chamois. The shorts were sewn from panels of Power Lycra. This material features compressive-like quailities without being of medical grade. It features a higher grams per square meter weight than most Lycra fabrics. To this end, it wraps and supports your muscles which supports and shields them from the vibration caused by riding rough roads. This decreases fatigue. Additionally, the Power Lycra is treated with a Coldblack finish. This is used to reduce the absorption of heat rays in darker fabrics, which means that you stay cooler. The Power Lycra also contains wicking properties which help to move moisture away from your skin. In this manner you stay dry, and staying dry is key to regulating body temperature. Knowing that regardless of how supportive your shorts are, you won't ride very long without proper chamois support, Capo used its Endurance 3D insert in the Fondo Bibs. This chamois uses a high-density open-cell foam that has been bonded to an microfiber layer. Within this layer, antimicrobial threads have been woven to aid in moisture evaporation. It features 6mm and 8mm-thick pads placed in optimal positions to support your sit bones while cushioning soft tissue areas. To ensure that the insert stays put, the bibs are finished with mesh straps and Capo's signature silicone-backed leg grippers.
